MTU students are able to enjoy an affordable alternative to illegal peer-to-peer file sharing, on and off campus.
Through our partnership with the Ruckus Digital Entertainment Network, you can download music and movies and create music and movie libraries, which can be accessed anytime, anywhere*.
Ruckus also provides a vibrant community feature, which will allow you to connect, share, and explore music, video and programming with other subscribers. With Ruckus you can access more than a million tracks of the best and most popular music. You can also enjoy national, local, and campus-based programming as well as Hollywood blockbusters, Cult classics, and independent films. |
Ruckus Music Subscriptions are currently FREE for all current MTU students.
Students, who wish to download music to their PlayforSure compatible players can subscribe to "Ruckus-To-Go" for $20 per semester.
Students who wish to burn songs to a CD, can purchase individual tracks for .79 to .99 per track or $9.99 per average album.
Students who are interested in downloading movies, may do so for just $15 per semester. (All movies must be downloaded on your PC while on campus, but can be viewed anywhere. Download times vary depending upon campus connections.)
MTU Faculty and Staff can also get music subscriptions to download unlimited music for just $5.99 per month. |
