Residence Life Network (Resnet) — Getting your Nintendo Wii Online
 

You must enter your MAC address on our website to get your Wii online. This page provides instructions on setting up your Wii and getting it online.

1. The Nintendo Wii does not ship with the ability to connect to wired networks. You will need to purchase a Wii LAN Adapter or use an unsupported wireless router in order to get your Wii online.

2. Once the Wii Lan Adapter is plugged in, start the Wii and load the Wii Channel menu.

3. Select Wii (the round button on the bottom left). Then choose Wii Settings

4. Click the right arrow to go to the second page. Select Internet and then select Console Information.

5. The MAC address of the Wii console's LAN Adapter is on the second line.

6. Go to http://register.resnet.mtu.edu to add your Wii to the network. *NOTE: You will need you MAC address from above*
